Company registration & bank account (mainland)
Establishing a company in China can be a complex and time-consuming process, involving navigating complex legal and regulatory frameworks. Company headquarters:
- Corporate Office Lease: You must rent an office if you are a resident in China. Virtual Location: If you do not wish to reside, you can choose a virtual location with a formal lease.
Basic company information:
- Company Name (English and Chinese): Prepare three alternative company names to ensure acceptance.
Note: Names that include names of countries, oceans, or famous people should be avoided.
Passport Photo: A clear copy of your passport is required.
Company capital:
- There is no specific amount for the capital, but if you need residency, it is preferable to be more than 15,000 US dollars.
If you do not need residency, a capital of 2,000 dollars can be sufficient.
Note: The capital does not need to be deposited in the bank immediately, but it can be deposited within five years after establishment.
Commercial sector:
- The business sector must be clearly defined (eg: clothing – children’s clothing, women’s clothing, etc.). More than one sector may be selected, except for sectors that require additional licenses such as food.
If there is more than one partner:
We need the same information for each partner (eg passport photo).
Distribution of ownership and liability: Determine the percentage of ownership for each partner.
Responsible for decision-making: Identify the person who will have the authority to make major decisions.
Additional service - residence and work card:
- Passport photo.
- Highest educational certificate (the higher the certificate, the better the chance of obtaining residency).
- Years of experience: from the time of graduation until now.
- Criminal record: must be translated and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in your country, and certified by the Chinese Embassy.
